I saw the new Laura Ashley collection at Uniqlo today and after my initial excitement I must confess to being disappointed.
The prints are okay, but the garments themselves scream frumpy and boring. The kind of thing my mother would wear on a vacation to Florida, teamed with baggy beige shorts, white ankle socks and sandals.
The scarves are quite nice, but the other stuff? Best for sleeping in,...

The Tokyo marathon as it passes through Kagurazaka.
I love how people dress up for the run, and the crowd shout words of encouragement. Also, they have buses that collect the stragglers at the end of the race.
That would so be me. Just shovel me up and apply CPR, baby; I’m done.
